My dear,
I am sorry that I pushed you hard on doing your homework.
When I was young, your grandpa wants me to write the Chinese address on an envelop for him.
The words are complicate and I couldn't say no.
Every time when I write the incorrect word. I got harsh word from your grandpa.
I always wish that your grandpa give me time to practice the word on another piece of paper.
So I want to say to you the same thing, I am sorry that I sometimes push you to finish homework quickly.
It's possible that you have another way of doing homework that I don't know of.
I think we may just need to talk and come to a compromise that you, your mom and I agree with.
Sincerely
Dad

Sometimes, it's hard to say who is right.
It's probably better to breath in and try to understand the other side.
