Pig and elephant

Pig:  I want to be acceptable by others

Elephant: You got to be kidding

Pig: From now on, I am going to lose weight
Pig: From now on, I am not playing with mud
Pig: From now on, I am going to eat little

(A few days later, pig is crying)

Elephant: My friend, it's ok to be yourself.
          You are created to be you.
          Once you tried to pretend to be acceptable by others,
          you already lose yourself.

He just wants to accept by others.
He also wants to feel good about himself.
He also wants to show that he's capable.

The truth is that he can only be true to himself.

Education

The kid is playing (not doing his homework)

Dad (to the kid): Work harder

Kid: Why?

Dad: Otherwise, what are you going to do

Kid: huh!

A letter to my dear son.

Dear son,

We all work hard for something.  My parents want me to have abundant life so they want me to work harder to get a good education.  Is this the only way... Probably there are some other ways.
But this is all they know and this is all I know.  I just want you to have a good life
and this is the way I was taught.  I just want to say that I love you. 
Whichever way you choose is good for me.  I just want you to be happy.
